Nigerian-American author, Nnedi Okorafor, has had one of her novels optioned by HBO to be developed into a TV series. The novel, Who Fears Death, is set in futuristic Sudan where a young lady is on a quest to avenge her mother’s tormentors.

• She is a professor in the English Department at The University of Buffalo, New York (SUNY Buffalo)
• This is not her first book- she has 6 award winning books including one children’s book, Chicken in the Kitchen

• Her book is to be executive produced for HBO by George R.R. Martin of “Game of Thrones”
