New comers to the LFDW runway, Ugo Money and JZO, were the men’s wear designers carrying the flag for traditional Nigerian men’s wear on the opening night of Lagos Fashion and Design Week.

Ugo Monye debuted a show reminiscent of African royalty and conjuring images of Coming To America. The collection was heavy on long coats, capes and rich fabric such as velvet.

For JZO, their take on the the traditional men’s attire was more casual. It was however vibrant with most of the looks shown in bright hues.
