My favorite thing about the Agbada is its ability to fit into any event no matter the dress code and I’m happy to see it gradually becoming a staple part of this generation’s wardrobe.

For Toolz & Tunde’s Engagement I wore an Agbada specially crafted for me by Trax Apparel (@Trax_apparel).

I know you may be wondering what’s the difference between this Agbada and the ones I’ve worn before. Well there are quite a few differences but the most prominent one is the embroidery.

The designers encouraged me to try the coil embroidery for a change and I also suggested embroidering my initials on the sleeve of the inner shirt.

As expected, the final result was amazing.

The coil embroidery gave the Agbada a clean face-lift even though it was done with thread the same colour as the material and my initials on the sleeve gave it that much needed personal feel.

To look different from everybody else, I pinned a brooch on the Agbada, wore a pair crocodile skin loafers and of course my grand father’s walking stick.

There are no hard and fast rules on how to style the Agbada. Do it your way and make sure you walk the street with your shoulders high. Unless you are walking the street with your bank account balance hanging on your neck, you should rock that Agbada like you sleep on a bed of a billion dollars.
